Accounts & Subscriptions

Check your account and configuration first, then troubleshoot device changes and subscription updates. Keep your subscription link secure; it's tied to your account.

Do I need an email address to create an account? How should I protect my account details?

No email address is required. Create an account with a username and password. Afterward, save your credentials securely and make sure you can access the user panel before choosing a plan or downloading a client. Never post your password and subscription link together in a public forum, and don't share a subscription link as if it were a regular webpage. If you can't sign in, check your keyboard input, capitalization, and browser autofill to make sure it hasn't entered credentials saved for another site. If you're already signed in on a device, keep that session active and report the issue through the panel's ticket system. Avoid creating multiple accounts, as this can make it harder to match orders to the right account.

Do I need to buy another plan when I change devices? Can I use it on multiple devices at once?

There is no limit on the number of devices that can be connected at the same time, and changing devices alone does not require you to buy another plan. Sign in to the user panel with the same account, download the client for your new device, and import that account's subscription. Supported platforms include Windows / macOS / iOS / Android / Linux. Unlimited devices does not mean unlimited data, so check your plan's data allowance and status before use. Check system permissions and split-tunneling settings on each device; settings from one platform may not apply to another. When you stop using an old device, disconnect it and remove account and subscription details so nobody else can access them.

Where can I get the client and subscription link? What should I do after importing it?

The client and subscription are available in the user panel. Sign in, check your plan status, then open the downloads section, select your platform, and follow the panel instructions to get the client and subscription. After importing, return to the client and check the configuration name and route list. Make sure the new configuration is selected rather than the one you were using before. If your system doesn't open the client automatically, find the subscription or configuration import option within the client and follow the panel instructions. Don't use the account sign-in page URL as a subscription link or download installers from public articles. Once the import is complete, choose a route, connect, and test access to the site you want to use.

How do I update my subscription link, and when should I import it again?

If you already have a subscription, select Update in the client's subscription or configuration manager. Then check the route list and the selected configuration. If the panel says the subscription address has changed, or the old details remain after updating, return to the user panel for the current address and replace or reimport it as instructed by your client. Before replacing it, note your current region and split-tunneling preferences so you can restore them if needed. Don't add the same old subscription repeatedly as multiple configurations with identical names; it's easy to select the wrong one. If an update fails, check your device's internet connection and account status first. If the issue persists, describe the error in a support ticket. Hide the full subscription link and sensitive account details in screenshots.

Connections & Troubleshooting

Troubleshoot in this order: local network, account configuration, client routing, then the app itself. Test after each change before moving on.

The client says it's connected, but websites won't load. What should I check first?

Disconnect the client and make sure your device can access regular websites available on your current network. Then check your account status, configuration, and selected route in the client. If basic internet access isn't working either, troubleshoot your local connection or network sign-in page first. Once your local connection is working, update the subscription, reconnect, and try another route from the panel. Also check whether another network tool is controlling the system proxy and conflicting with the client. If only one website won't load, check app split-tunneling settings and the target service's guidance rather than assuming all routes are down. When you submit a ticket, include your operating system, the client's error message, your region, and whether changing routes makes a difference.

Why does my browser work, but a particular app won't use the proxy?

Apps can connect to the internet in different ways, so access in your browser doesn't mean other apps are using the same route. Check the client's rule mode, system proxy, and app split-tunneling settings to make sure the app isn't set to connect directly. Some apps don't follow the system proxy and may need another routing method provided by the client. Check the current client documentation for support; don't assume another platform uses the same setting names. After changing settings, quit and reopen the app, then compare its results with your browser. If only that app fails, check its account region, service status, and error message. A network connection doesn't grant eligibility to use a third-party service.

Windows or macOS is asking for network permissions. What should I do?

First, make sure you got the client from the user panel. Then review the network permissions requested in the system prompt. On Windows, check that the system's network and proxy settings match the client's current mode. On macOS, follow the system prompts to review network extensions and related permissions in Settings. The exact steps vary by operating system and client, so follow the instructions on your screen. Don't disable your system's security protections just to dismiss a prompt, and never enter account details in a window from an unknown source. After adjusting permissions, reopen the client and test the connection. If your device is managed by your organization, check its policies before changing settings. You can attach a screenshot of the permission prompt to a support ticket, but hide personal and account information.

What should I do if importing or updating a subscription fails, or the route list is empty?

Check your plan status in the user panel and get the current subscription link there again. If you paste it manually, make sure nothing is missing, there are no extra spaces, and you haven't used the sign-in page URL by mistake. Then confirm that your client supports that import method. If importing via a link that opens the client doesn't work, try the client's built-in import option and check the error message. If you have configurations with the same name, verify which one was actually updated so you don't keep checking an old list. Don't submit your link to public online conversion tools. If the issue persists, include the import method, error text, and system information in a support ticket. Hide the full subscription address and don't post it publicly.

Speed & Routes

Choose a region based on the target service's requirements and how it performs on your network. Keep test conditions consistent; you'll find the cause faster than by changing every setting repeatedly.

Which countries and routes are available? Which region should I choose?

VPNTie covers 110+ countries and 150+ routes. See the user panel and your current subscription for the available options. Choose a region based first on the target service's requirements, then on how it performs on your current network. Don't rely on geographic distance alone. Japan, the United States, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Switzerland are popular regions to explore, but a region name doesn't guarantee access to a particular app. For work, keep the region consistent with the target service's requirements. For general access checks, compare available regions. Check the panel for cities, route types, and current availability; screenshots shared by other users may be out of date.

How can I tell what's causing peak-hour slowdowns or video buffering?

Pause large downloads and other network-heavy tasks on your device, then check whether regular websites and the app you're using are both slow. If local access is still sluggish with the client disconnected, check your Wi-Fi signal, router, or current network first. If only international access is affected, update your subscription and compare other routes. Keep your device and target content the same while testing; changing too many settings at once makes it harder to identify the cause. Video performance also depends on playback quality, the streaming platform, and the player's cache, so one buffering incident doesn't prove a route is poor. If the issue keeps happening, note when it occurs, which network and service you're using, and what happens when you switch routes. Include those details in a support ticket for further review.

Can switching routes interrupt a meeting or file transfer?

Switching routes may change your exit location or reconnect your session, which can interrupt meetings, uploads, and remote sessions or require you to reconnect. Before starting important work, test access in the app you need and keep the region and configuration that worked. If you experience slowdowns, check your local network before switching. You don't need to cycle through regions during an active task. If you need to change routes, save your work and pause transfers first, then resume your session if the app allows it. If the service asks for extra verification after a region change, follow its official instructions. Unlimited simultaneous devices describes how many devices can be online; it doesn't guarantee that apps will keep their sessions when you switch routes.

An AI tool or streaming service won't open. Does that mean the route isn't supported?

A service failing to open doesn't necessarily mean the route is unsupported. AI tools and streaming services may also check your account region, subscription eligibility, app version, and the platform's service status. First, check whether regular international websites load, then review the error message from the app. If it mentions a region or account issue, check your eligibility against the service's rules. Next, check that app split tunneling isn't sending requests directly, and test a route in a region that meets the service's requirements. A network subscription doesn't include third-party memberships or usage rights. Avoid repeatedly refreshing the login page, as this may trigger extra verification. If the issue persists, describe the service and error in a support ticket. Don't share your third-party account password.

Billing & Refunds

Check prices, data usage, and order status separately. For payment or refund issues, keep the full conversation in a ticket through the user panel.

How much is a monthly plan? When does data reset, and how are mid-cycle upgrades calculated?

Monthly plans: ¥9.9/month for 60GB · ¥18/month for 250GB · ¥28/month for 500GB. Data resets monthly on your activation date. Mid-cycle upgrades are prorated based on the price difference and remaining days. Choose a plan based on your actual usage, not just the number of devices: unlimited simultaneous devices doesn't mean unlimited data. To upgrade, open the plans section in the user panel and review the result shown before continuing. Don't calculate based on calendar months or assume an upgrade starts a new full billing period. Check the panel for your remaining data and account status. If an order doesn't turn out as expected, keep the order details and ask through a support ticket. Avoid submitting it again, which can make it harder to investigate.

How do data packs differ from monthly plans? Which is better if I use it infrequently?

Data packs: ¥158 for 300GB · ¥358 for 1000GB · ¥658 for 3000GB. They remain valid until used and never expire. Monthly plans reset data monthly on your activation date and may suit predictable monthly usage. Data packs may work better if you want to keep unused data or use the service at irregular intervals. Review your usage habits, then compare the prices and data allowances on the plans page. Never expiring doesn't mean the data is unlimited. If you already have another plan, check the panel's terms before switching or adding a plan. Don't assume plans combine, stack, or offset one another. If anything is unclear, confirm it through a support ticket before proceeding.

Which payment methods are supported? What if my account status doesn't update after payment?

We accept Alipay / WeChat Pay / USDT. Start the payment process from the orders page in the user panel. Check the order and amount due, then follow the on-screen instructions. If your status hasn't changed after payment, return to the orders section and refresh. Check that the payment provider actually completed the transaction, rather than simply opening the payment page. Don't create and pay for the same order repeatedly just because the status hasn't updated yet. If the provider shows the payment as complete but the panel hasn't updated, submit a support ticket with your order details and a redacted payment receipt, and explain what happened. Don't share your account password or full subscription address, and don't transfer money using payment details posted in public chats.

How do I request a refund? Can I request one if my connection issue isn't resolved?

VPNTie offers a 14-day money-back guarantee. To request a refund, sign in to the user panel, open the support ticket section, explain your request, and include the order details needed for verification. Check the refund policy for eligibility and processing information. You can request a refund directly in a ticket; you don't need to complete every troubleshooting step on this page first. If you'd also like help troubleshooting, include your system, network, and error message so the team can distinguish a connection issue from an order issue. Make sure the order belongs to the account you're using. Refund progress is provided through ticket replies. Don't assume a processing or arrival date, or other terms not listed in the policy. Hide sensitive details in any receipts you share.
